The focal point of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA) is trade liberalisation. In Africa, trade liberalisation has been fostered majorly by globalization and emerging world trends. It involves the elimination of tariffs and removal of duties and /or quotas on exports and it is believed that this would greatly enhance the economic potential of the African continent as a whole.
